Explaining Our Menu.

Here at MarLou’s Restaurant we pride ourselves on offering an eclectic menu featuring dishes you would not normally find elsewhere.

Louise spent six months developing this menu, all the while keeping in mind our guiding principles, our “recipe for success” if you will.

Our Guiding Principles.

Consistency.

We want you to be confident that any dish you order will taste the same every time. In order to achieve this all our recipes are written down and are followed to the letter every time we prepare your meal.

Quality.

We endeavour to use only top quality ingredients in our food. Unfortunately, sometimes we have difficulty finding certain items, this can result in dishes being temporarily unavailable.

Wholesome, Healthy Food.

If our customers remain healthy, our business remains healthy.

We do not deep-fry our food.

Our Chicken Cordon Bleu is oven-baked, the Pork Escalopes and sausages are shallow-fried in sunflower oil (which we ensure is at the correct temperature to prevent the meat being saturated).

We do not over-spice our food.

We cook our potatoes & fresh vegetables in lightly salted water to speed up the cooking times & preserve the nutrients. If you want you can order sauces “on the side” and add just what you want.

We do not overcook our food.

You won’t find mushy pasta, rice or vegetables at MarLou’s, just pasta al-dente, fluffy rice and crisp nutritious vegetables.
