So, the other day I blogged about our spontaneous karaoke parties & lo & behold we had one the same night!

You all know I'm the best host on the North Coast - hey I make the singers sound GOOD!

Come to MarLou's & if you want to sound like Celine Dion or Tony Bennet!

Yes, we're still open!

And we will remain open all Summer for you.

It's definitely "Summer Slumber" time in Costambar now, in fact the whole North Coast is quiet. The weather is hotting-up too, everybodys major concern seems to be keeping cool.

Luckily for us there's always a nice breeze at MarLou's. If you visit us & don't see us behind the bar, we are on the terrace. Usually enjoying a nice cool drink. Of course you're welcome to join us!

On those rare occasions when it rains, you will be pleased to hear that the gutter over the entrance has finally been fixed so you don't have to brave our tribute to Victoria Falls on your way in any more.

Right, enough gossip, time to talk about food!

For the carnivors with smaller appetites we have added ground chicken to the Summer Pasta for an extra RD50 to give us :-

Chicken Garden Pasta

Ground chicken marinaded in fresh herbs

sauteed in olive oil

served on a bed of angelhair pasta

Also we will soon be making up some Natural Vanilla Pod Ice Cream which, as always will be available as a dessert or to take home.

More Summer Treats

Louise has been busy in the kitchen again & has created a delicious Tomato & Fresh Herb Soup.

Enjoy it chilled gaspacho-style or hot if you prefer. It's the perfect compliment to our Summer Pasta, light & refreshing.

Served with a roll & butter, regular RD100 or large RD150.

A Lighter Option for Summer

Now the weather's really hotting-up we realise that not everybody wants a large meal, so Louise has come up with this delicious Summer Pasta, which is vegetarian too!

We have also re-stocked our Ice Cream and, as I mentioned, we now have Frozen Lemonade available if you want a long cool non-alcoholic drink.

Thursday is DeeDee's last night before she returns to the "frozen north" for the Summer, I know we'll all miss her bubbly personality, so why not come down & give her a proper Costambar send-off!

As always Thursday will be Open Mic night & Saturday dancing & karaoke by request.
